Southeastern Pastel Society Exhibit

Leonardo da Vinci: Hand of the Genius
Oct. 6-Feb. 21 at the High Museum of Art, 1280 Peachtree Street, N.E., Atlanta, GA 30309, 404-733-4444. Closed Mondays.

This exhibition sheds new light on Leonardo's seminal role in the development of Renaissance sculpture and the work of artists who followed him. It features approximately 50 works, some of which will be on view in the US for the first time.

Included are works by Donatello, Rubens, Verrocchio, and Rustici—from such world-renowned collections as the Musée du Louvre, the British Museum, and the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence. Learn more >>

First Friday Art Walk in Historic Marietta Square.
Oct. 2 from 6-9pm at downtown Marietta, GA, 770-429-1115

Galleries and other retailers extend their hours to show works of art in Historic Marietta Square, a delightful place year-round. This season’s Art Walks feature Artists' Alley, an intimate exhibit of juried artists showing a wide variety of styles. There’ll be free trolley service and participants who gather stamps at all stores along the walk earn a gift bag at its last stop. Learn more >>
